Save the date - Greater Philadelphia Healthcare informatics symposium - Friday, april 4th

The Center for Biomedical Informatics of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is proud to announce the first annual Greater Philadelphia Healthcare Informatics Symposium entitled, "Advancing Health through Informatics." This inaugural event is sponsored by the Center for Biomedical Informatics and is free of charge to registered participants. This all day event is scheduled for Friday, April 4, 2004 and consists of both a morning and afternoon sessions (from 9:00 * 11:30 and 11:30 to 5:00 respectively). The symposium features interactive breakout sessions conducted by regional informatics experts from: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Drexel University, Temple University, University of Pennsylvania and the U.S Department of Veteran Affairs. The keynote speaker for the symposium will be William Hersh, M.D., Professor and Chair of the Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology at Oregon Health and Science University.
